BABE (Bristol Artists Book Event) is back! The seventh biennial festival featuring the work of bookmakers and small presses from around the world. Presented by Arnolfini, with Sarah Bodman (Centre for Fine Print Research, University of the West of England) and Tom Sowden (Bath School of Art and Design, Bath Spa University).
Artists Book fair and so much more in the main hall of the Davy Building at Plymouth University.
The organisers write: "Counter draws together artists, collectives and book works to make friends, sell books, buy books, share work, share knowledge, learn something new, start conversations, ask questions, try to find answers and exchange ideas."
Over 35 exhibitors including letterpress printers, bookbinders and typecasters selling prints, books, cards, printing equipment and paper. Expect lots of print chat and lovely things.

Seeing Words, Marking Time exhibition

Venue: Terre Verte contemporary art gallery, Altarnun
A special exhibition to coincide with the Festival by artists who use words – inspired by poetry, slogans or history; the aesthetics of letterpress, sketch notes to self, a diary; tracking the moon or the shipping forecast; and a 15-year old collection of words as a personal enquiry.
